Policies
Thank you for choosing MC Piano Tuition. These policies are designed to ensure lessons run smoothly and that every student receives consistent, high-quality tuition.
Payment
-
Lessons are taught in blocks of 10 lessons.
-
Payment for the next block becomes due when the current block has been completed.
-
Your payment reserves your regular weekly lesson slot, ensuring it remains available exclusively for you.
-
Payment is due upon receipt of an invoice unless otherwise agreed.
-
Payment may be made by bank transfer or cash.
Your Reserved Lesson Time
Your lesson fee reserves your dedicated weekly teaching slot, rather than paying solely for the individual lesson itself.
This guarantees that your lesson time remains available every week throughout the year, even if you are occasionally unable to attend.
If you are away on holiday or unable to attend with sufficient notice, every effort will be made to arrange a replacement lesson at another mutually convenient time, subject to availability.
Cancellations
-
Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you are unable to attend.
-
Lessons cancelled with sufficient notice will normally be rearranged where availability allows.
-
Replacement lessons cannot be guaranteed and are offered at the teacher's discretion.
-
Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice are not eligible for replacement or refund.
Teacher Cancellations
-
If I need to cancel a lesson, it will either be rearranged at a mutually convenient time or credited towards your next block.
-
You will never be charged for lessons cancelled by the teacher.
Holidays
Students are welcome to take holidays during the year.
As your payment reserves your regular lesson slot, your place remains secure while you are away. Missed lessons will be rearranged wherever reasonably possible, subject to mutual availability.
To maximise the opportunity for arranging replacement lessons, please provide as much notice as possible of any planned holidays.
Ending Tuition
-
Students may discontinue lessons at any time.
-
As lesson blocks reserve dedicated teaching time, payments are non-refundable once a block has commenced.
-
Any unused lessons remaining in a commenced block are forfeited if tuition is discontinued.
-
These terms do not affect your statutory rights.
Teaching Philosophy
Every lesson is individually planned around the student's interests, goals and learning style.
My curriculum is built around creativity, composition and intrinsic motivation, helping students become confident, independent musicians rather than simply learning pieces for exams. Examinations are available for those who wish to take them but are always optional.
Acceptance of These Policies
By commencing lessons with MC Piano Tuition, students and parents/guardians confirm that they have read and accepted these Tuition Policies.
Thank you for choosing MC Piano Tuition. I look forward to supporting you on your musical journey.
